14 February: An enchanting family movie night will be held at Heidelberg Public School hosted by Jordaanpark Forum. Bring your picnic blanket or camping chair for an evening filled with laughter, enjoyment and cinematic escapades.

2 Augustus: Die ATKV Heidelberg tak hou hul lang tafel geleentheid vir die dorp met ‘n heerlike ete. Hou solank die datum oop. Sandra Taljaard (ATKV voorsitter) sal nader aan die tyd meer inligting deurgee.

• The Springs/Nigel Wessa branch will host the summer CWAC (Counting water birds) count at the Marievale Nature Reserve on Sunday 2nd February at 07h15 . The count takes about 3 hours to complete and is followed by a bring and braai at the picnic site. Braai fires will be provided.
Teams of birders (and non-birders) will be sent to various areas in the Reserve to compile lists of the numbers of various water birds. The results are sent to the Avian Demography unit at the University of Cape Town where they are integrated into the country wide lists received for scientific purposes by the ADU.
