City of Ekurhuleni launches WhatsApp payment system for traffic fines
This step-by-step system is already operational and ready to process fine payments.

The City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) has introduced its own traffic fine processing system, meaning residents and road users will no longer pay fines via the PayCity website as previously.
The newly implemented system offers a more convenient way to settle traffic fines through the city’s WhatsApp chatbot, designed to enhance user experience and streamline the payment process.

How to pay traffic fines via WhatsApp
Motorists can use the CoE WhatsApp chatbot at 060 667 7177 by following these steps:
• Start a conversation by sending ‘Hi’.
• A response message will display a list of available services.
• Select option 5 (view notices).
• The chatbot will prompt you to enter either your RSA ID number or the notice number.
• You will then receive an active fine list showing all outstanding fines and be prompted to select the fine you wish to pay.
• A payment link will be provided.
• Click on the link and follow the prompts to complete your payment.
Alternative payment option
For those who prefer in-person payments, fines can still be settled at selected EMPD offices during office hours:
• Kempton Park payment office, Long Street
• Kempton Park Precinct on the corner of Bosch and Commissioner Street, Kempton Park.
Payments can be made with a debit card or cash from Monday to Friday, 08:00-15:00.
