Development Centre empowers Nigel community with skills training

The NPO fosters growth and opportunities for the youth of Alra Park.

The Almac Development Centre in Alra Park empowers the community.

The NPO fosters growth and empowerment among community members through its skills development, communication and information programmes.

“Skills development programmes equip people with practical tools to enhance their career prospects or start businesses. For many, it can mean the difference between unemployment and opportunity,” said project co-ordinator Michealla Kenny.

“The aim is to ensure we skill our youth and make our community as vibrant as possible. It also aims to educate and train people in various programmes,” Kenny said.

The centre has skill development programmes for welding, boiler making, computer training, carpentry, bricklaying and plastering. All the programmes are accredited by the Sector Education and Training Authority.

The centre is on 2 Gazelle Drive.
