Local beauty shines as Mrs Bold semi-finalist

In the heart of Nigel, an inspiring story of grace and determination unfolds as Zulfah Mangera (52) secures her place as a semi-finalist in the Mrs Bold 2025 competition.

Mrs Bold is a platform celebrating the multifaceted brilliance of married, divorced, widowed and mature women with children.

The competition celebrates empowered women who balance family, career, and community leadership, beauty and the diverse experiences of women from all walks of life. It aims to create a unique platform for women to showcase their achievements, talents, and contributions to their communities.

“I entered because Mrs Bold is more than a competition; it is a life-changing experience that embraces community, culture, and causes. It believes in the power of unity and seeks to highlight our similarities rather than our differences.

“The competition is a celebration of ‘beauty that inspires’, showcasing women who are making meaningful contributions to their communities and beyond,” said Mangera.

She adds she is ready to step out of her comfort zone and step into power.

“This platform will help me grow, regain my confidence and turn into the strong, courageous social entrepreneur and businesswoman that God has called me to be,” she said.

As a semi-finalist, Mangera had to meet all the requirements in community and charity work and also added skills development to her duties.

“Besides the community and charity work, I added skills development sessions to help our people become self-employed or employable. Through my community contributions, women can see that regardless of the hardships, you can turn these challenges into opportunities for yourself and others and make meaningful positive contributions in communities,” she said.

She believes the Mrs Bold platform is an opportunity to amplify her voice and create positive change.

The Mrs Bold 2025 competition with finalists from across the country showcasing their unique qualities will be closely contested. As the countdown to the grand finale begins, Mangera needs support and requests her family, friends and supporters to stand behind her as she embarks on this life-changing journey.

“I am embracing the Mrs Bold journey, not just for a title, but for a purpose. I advocate for a life dedicated to helping others achieve qualifications, skills, and experiences to make a positive impact of independence, self-reliance, and meaning and am dedicated to empowering and uplifting communities,” Mangera concluded.

The finalists will be announced on June 7 and the crowning will be in October.
