LLM empowers youth and supports seniors through sport and blanket donations
They donated sports clothing and equipment to enhance the capabilities of the youngsters and encouraging participation in healthy activities.
Lesedi Local Municipality (LLM), in partnership with Sinqobile Equestrian Security Services, embarked on community outreach in Ratanda on June 13.
Led by executive mayor Mluleki Nkosi and supported by senior municipal officials, the programme focused on youth development by donating sporting equipment to three local schools.

Recipient schools included Lethabo Siyangoba Primary, Sithokomela Primary, and Kudung Middle School. The donations were part of celebrating Youth Month.
“With this initiative, we emphasise our commitment to empowering the youth and fostering a culture of physical fitness and teamwork within our community,” said Nkosi.

LLM and its partners donated sports clothing and equipment to enhance the capabilities of the youngsters and encourage participation in healthy activities.
“Investing in the youth is investing in the future. By providing sporting kits and equipment, we are nurturing talent and promoting a lifelong love of sport. Together, we can build a better society through sports programmes,” concluded Nkosi.

After the event, LLM visited various old age homes in Ratanda to distribute 137 warm blankets.
“Warming the hearts and homes of our seniors is a priority during this time of need,” said Nkosi.
These donations reaffirm the municipality’s commitment to social development and public-private collaboration.
