Heidelberg artist is nominated for Woman of Stature Awards

Celebrated for her passion for art and commitment to community growth, Veronika Olivier has earned a nomination in the prestigious Woman of Stature Awards, honouring women who make a difference across South Africa.

Heidelberg resident artist and entrepreneur Veronika Olivier is being noticed for her contributions to the community.

Veronika was nominated for the 2026 Woman of Stature Awards South Africa (WOS).

The WOS celebrates and honours exceptional women who are making a significant impact across various sectors.
Now in its 11th season, the awards continue to amplify female voices, showcase success stories, and foster empowerment in South Africa and beyond.

The WOS goal for the coming years is to reach and positively impact at least 10 000 women through its awards and programmes.

“The WOS awards are now in their 11th season, and we are anticipating at least 800 nominations nationwide. This year, there is a regional award process with plans to roll it out to other regions. This new approach, which was launched in Cape Town, is part of a broader vision to make the awards more accessible across the country,” said Tandi Potgieter, WOS awards communications director.

“Recognised for her remarkable contributions to the arts and culture industry, Veronika stands as an inspiration to many, embodying the essence of creativity, resilience, and community spirit. This nomination celebrates her commitment to empowering others through her art and her passion for using creativity as a tool for connection and healing.”

The WOS has grown into one of the most sought-after recognition platforms for South African women who are making their mark across industries. It is the sister company to the Woman of Stature Foundation, which ensures that recognition translates into tangible empowerment, including mentorship, training, and networking.

“I am honoured to be nominated for the WOS awards. I believe this platform is an incredible opportunity to connect with other changemakers and amplify the work we do in our communities and industries.

“I use my art and imagination to inspire, uplift, and motivate – not only those who attend my paid classes but also through the charitable and community work I do, and the ongoing live sessions I host on TikTok where I share creative knowledge and encouragement. I am very involved in my community and my town, and I always plan my workshops and retreats to include and support other entrepreneurs and creatives in my hometown,” says Veronika.

The WOS seeks women of exceptional calibre – leaders, innovators, and changemakers whose impact is felt not only in their industries but also in their communities. The 2026 season introduces four new categories: automotive, legal services, logistics, and property, further expanding the awards’ reach across most industries.

The full list of categories for the 2026 season includes: Entrepreneur of the year; CEO of the year; woman in arts and culture; woman in automotive; woman in coaching and mentoring; woman in community; woman in education and training; woman in engineering and mining; woman in financial services; woman in health and wellness; woman in legal services; woman in logistics; woman in media and journalism; woman in MICE, tourism and hospitality; woman in property; and woman in technology.
The gala evening is on April 11, 2026.
