Jordaanpark Forum invites community to join Christmas Parade and donation drive

Jordaanpark will come alive with lights and festive cheer on December 6 as the community hosts its annual Christmas Parade, inviting residents to decorate their vehicles and donate items for families in need.

The Jordaanpark Forum is gearing up for a festive evening of community spirit and generosity as it prepares to host its annual Christmas Parade on December 6.

The forum invites residents, local businesses, schools, sports clubs, and community organisations to take part by decorating their vehicles with Christmas lights and joining the convoy as it travels through the streets of Jordaanpark, spreading cheer and holiday magic.

In the spirit of giving, the forum encourages participants and spectators to bring donations for families in need. The last vehicle in the procession will collect items along the route.

Suggested items include:

• Non-perishable food

• Toiletries

• Dog and cat food

• Toys (new or gently used)

• Clothing or shoes that children have outgrown

The parade will start at 19:00 at the entrance to Jordaanpark, off the R42.

The Jordaanpark Forum hopes to unite the community for a joyful evening while supporting those less fortunate during the festive season.
