Community called to run in Springs Striders’ 55th race

Springs Striders is calling on runners of all levels to take part in their 55th Annual Road Race at Veritas College on January 18, with distances ranging from 5km to 32km and prizes up for grabs.

The Springs Striders are inviting the community to take part in their 55th Annual Road Race on January 18 at Veritas College Senior School in Pollak Park.

The 32km and 15km races will kick off at 06:00, while the 5km race will begin at 06:15.

“The 15km and 5km finishers will receive medals. In addition, category winners will get cash prizes, and all participants will receive goodie bags and spot prizes,” said Charmain Botha.

She added that anyone is welcome to join the races, even if they are not part of a club. “If you don’t belong to a club, you can purchase a temporary license for the day,” Botha said.

Interested participants may enter online at www.entryninja.com. There will also be food and refreshment stalls available on the day.
