Nigel SPCA launches ‘Swing Into Spring Pet Photo Competition’ to raise funds for bakkie repairs
Pet owners are invited to dress up their furry friends and enter the Nigel SPCA’s spring photo competition for R50, with all proceeds going towards repairing the organisation's animal welfare bakkie.
The Nigel SPCA has launched a spring-themed pet photo competition to raise funds towards the repair of its bakkie, which plays an important role in the organisation’s animal welfare operations.
The ‘Swing Into Spring Pet Photo Competition’ invites pet owners to dress their animals in their brightest, cutest or funniest spring outfits and enter them for a chance to win a surprise hamper. Entry costs R50 per photo, with participants required to WhatsApp their pet’s photo and proof of payment to the Nigel SPCA’s social media manager on 083 539 4629.
Entries close on August 31, while photographs will be posted on social media as they are received.
Voting will take place on September 1, with only likes received on that day counting towards the final result. The photograph with the most likes will be declared the winner.
The Nigel SPCA said the funds raised will contribute towards repairing its bakkie, which is used to collect animals, transport rescued animals to veterinary services and support the organisation’s daily welfare activities.
The organisation is appealing to pet owners and members of the community to participate in the competition and help support its work while celebrating the arrival of spring.
