Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC) fighter, Barend ‘BB Gun’ Nienaber has joined hands with local fitness expert and ex-professional boxer Shaun Prinsloo (Body Flo Gym’s group fitness manager) as part of Nienaber’s integration towards a welterweight title fight. He will also provide training advice to members which form part of his personal effort to give back to the community.
Nienaber said being a professional EFC fighter has taught him about life and discipline.
“It teaches you about yourself and your natural threshold. I constantly push myself through my breaking point into another level which inevitably makes me a stronger person in all aspects”, he explains.
After securing a sponsorship agreement with Body Flo Gym, Nienaber will be training and coaching at the gym every Monday afternoon.
“We are honoured to have a star athlete like Nienaber in our corner and are certain that he will add value to those he will be coaching”, CEO of Body Flo Gym, Gerrit Kapp said.
“I wish to devote my time at the gym to training with Shaun as well as teaching members about mixed martial arts”, Nienaber concluded.
