Season ended on a high for Lesedi Sport Foundation

Lesedi Sports Foundation (LSF) hosted their final event for the year on November 27.

The u-13 United Brothers team beat Heidelberg Football Club 4–1.

The u-15 United Ladies beat Sensation Ladies 3-1 after a penalty shoot-out.  The referee for the final league was General Kubheka, known as ‘Mr G’ and the winning teams received trophies and each player a gold medal.

The mission of LSF is to lay a foundation for sports development in Lesedi and especially in Ratanda extension 23. The foundation is funded by sport lovers in the community.

“We want to encourage the youth to take part in sport in an effort to keep them away from substance abuse,” said spokesperson Thulane Gama.

The next event will be held on February 13 and is promised to be bigger and better.

“We want more players to join and coach them for the soccer development league,” Gama added.
To join the foundation or for information phone Buthelezi on 076 313 0743.

The winning netball team was United Ladies.
The referee known as Mr G handed out soccer balls to all the players.
