Cambridge Football Club played against the Peace Brothers team from Alra Park on June 6.
This league match, hosted by the MacKenzieville Alrapark Football Association (MAFA), was held at the Jim Fouché Stadium in Nigel, and only 100 supporters were permitted.
Cambridge held possession of the ball for most of the first half and was able to score 15 minutes into the game.
The first goal was scored by striker Boy Mkhonazi.
The second half proved a bit more challenging for the team, and many opportunities to score were wasted.
In the final third of the game, the Peace Brothers took control of the ball and Cambridge had to defend multiple attacks from the opposing team.
During the final minutes of the match, the Peace Brothers were able to score, ending the game with a final score of 1-1.
Coach Ignatius Maphike of Cambridge expressed his disappointment in the players’ performance.
