Burger Field at St John’s College delivers high-intensity clashes

What started off as an overcast and chilly morning turned into a successful sports day on day two of the 28th St John’s College Easter Rugby Festival.
St David’s Marist, Inanda, and the Golden Lions Invitational XV braved the cold, battling it out on Burger Field.

The match saw a dramatic comeback from the Golden Lions Invitational XV, who secured a thrilling 20–16 victory.
During the opening ceremony and national anthem, the College’s headmaster, Stuart West, warmly welcomed the rugby teams and visitors from various provinces.

West praised the senior rugby players’ talent ahead of their games: “Thank you for your talents and skills.

The St John’s College U19 team also made a strong comeback against Hoërskool Randburg, securing a 33–26 victory.
Day two of the festival concluded with Hilton College in fine form, overpowering Kingswood College in a physical battle: Hilton College 33–16 Kingswood College, South Africa.
