Day for all dog lovers

WILD about dogs is the theme of a fun day to be held at Norton Home Estates in Benoni on September 12.

Wild about dogs is an idea formed to educate the public about the various disciplines that dogs are able to participate in.

The day’s events include a dog display arena, various performances (including the Rhino EWT dogs), competitions and prizes, dog grooming, product and service stands, pooch fancy dress competition, jumping castles and face painting.

Breed stands include bully breeds, XL bully breeds, rottweilers, Belgian Malinois and Lhasa Apsos.Benoni’s national superbike racer, Janine Mitchell, will be a guest.

Food and drinks will be on sale.Entry is R30 for adults, R20 for children, and children under 12 get in for free.

Socialised dogs on a lead will be allowed in.

The venue is situated at 71 High Road.Money raised will go towards Husky Rescue, Animal Ambulance and Watershed Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Fund.
