TWO taxi owners handed themselves over to Norkem Park SAPS in connection with assaulting two other taxi drivers.

The men went to Norkem Park SAPS on October 15 after the alleged assault, kidnapping and robbery two days earlier.

The incident happened at about 9am on October 13 when a taxi driver and his co-worker, driving in the same taxi towards Enhlazeni Hostel in Tembisa, were allegedly assaulted by the two other taxi owners.

The assaulted men were accused of not parking the taxi at the taxi rank. The assaulted taxi owners were forced to go with the other two to one of their officers in Chloorkop before being allegedly beaten with a stick.

One managed to run away and the other one was later dropped at Phomolong Section in Tembisa. His house keys were also stolen.

Due to his injuries, this man had to be admitted to Tembisa Hospital.
