A dream come true

The fairest of them all

Ms Boitumelo Mabotja won the Miss Tembisa Beauty Pageant, which was held at King’s Palace in Tembisa recently.

The jewel from Tembisa visited The Tembisan’s offices recently. Brimming with confidence, and flashing her eye-catching smile which can make any man shiver with delight and impossible dreams, she strolled into the offices like the late Princess Diana.

After calming down, she said winning the competition was a dream come true, as it was the first beauty competition she has won in her life. “When the judges called my name as the winner, I was overwhelmed, and cried tears of joy. I am still on cloud nine as I speak to you now. I think winning the competition will open many doors for me in the future,” she said.

When asked about her responsibilities as the current Miss Tembisa, she said she will spend her time doing charity work and visiting local schools to motivate pupils.

The 22-year-old beauty queen is studying for an Operation and Production Management degree at the University of Johannesburg, and said she will graduate in March next year.

About her future prospects, she said she would like to own her casting agency, where she would be able to groom future models. “Helping up-and-coming models is my passion, and I would also like to make it in the media industry,” she said.
