New Generation FC aims high

The spokesperson of New Generation FC, Mr Robert Sithagu, is optimistic that his team will go places after it was joined by one of the best Tembisa football supporters, Mr Tsepo Monaledi, recently.

Mr Sithagu was speaking after his team achieved a 2-2 draw against Giant Killers FC during the Philly’s Game tournament played at the Square One local grounds on Monday.

Mr Monaledi has already made his first move in the team and sponsored them with two soccer kits and 20 balls. He said the kit and balls are to help the team gain more confidence and to work hard.

He said he was extremely impressed by the twin performance coaches, Mr Obert and Robert Sithagu.

“The twins are the inspiration in football within Tembisa. They have been working hard with small footballers and struggling with equipment, but they did not give up. They are producing some of the best players who need extra motivation in soccer. I want to be there for them and help develop these young lads in football,” he said.

Mr Monaledi added that he has also produced some great players, like Siya Nhlapo who plays for Wits University and Bheki Nhlapo, plays for Orlando Pirates.

“I not only coach footballers to become the best in football only but I also encourage them to consider furthering their studies. I took some of my best players to universities during the time Monaledi and Son FC was active. My aim is to build these lads to become professional players who can have careers as well,” he explained.

Mr Monaledi added that Tembisa has some great talent in football. “I am very impressed by how New Generations players showed their talent in the field. It shows they have a passion for football. They play to win. That is why I want to be instrumental in helping them grow in football,” he said.
