Rubbish left as there is no gate

It is household waste and mainly contains diapers

REFUSE removal services had refused since December to remove a pile of stinking rubbish because “it was not in front of a house”.

“We do not know who put it there,” they apparently told a complaining resident.

The bags were placed on the corner of Sandriver and Grootletabariver streets at the end of December.

“It is household waste and mainly contains diapers. This happens on a regular basis and I am unable to see or find out who the culprit is,” the resident said.

“I have requested the waste vehicle driver on three occasions to also load this waste as it was an unhealthy situation and children played in the streets.

“The driver refused to load this and was also requested by another resident to do so but with no luck. She even gave the workers cold water to drink.

On January 6 they again left this rubbish behind.

The metro has failed to respond.
