NYDA offices in Ekurhuleni

The executive mayor of Ekurhuleni, Clr Mondli Gungubele, officially opened the doors of the NYDA local offices in Ekurhuleni.

Alongside the mayor, deputy minister in the presidency Mr Amos Bapela and the NYDA chairperson, Mr Yershen Pillay, were also present at the opening.

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) entered into a partnership with the NYDA to expand the NYDA footprint in an attempt to bring its services and products closer to the young people of Ekurhuleni.

“This initiative has been long overdue and it takes place after the EMM launched another massive business development, the Ekurhuleni Business Facilitation Centre in Kempton Park,” said Clr Gungubele.

The facilities will allow the young people of Ekurhuleni to have access to all the services of the NYDA, including applications for funding to further their studies through the NYDA Solomon Mahlangu Scholarship Fund. It will also allow young people access to information on the Grant Programme, Business Consultancy services, Entrepreneurship Development Programme, Job Preparedness Programme and Career Guidance Information.

The 10 offices will be situated in Katlehong 1, Katlehong 2, Vosloorus, Tembisa, Germiston, Kempton Park, Wattville, Kwa-Thema, Duduza and Daveyton
