Marikana FC thumped 6-2

Italian Kickers’ reliable striker, Israel Ledwaba, scored a brace to help his team beat Marikana FC 6-2 in an entertaining friendly game played at the Square One sport grounds on Sunday.

Ledwaba and his teammates were a marvel to watch, displaying impressive skill from the first whistle.

Italian Kickers proved to their visitors from Germiston that they can also play carpet football by building their moves and creating space in the midfield before distributing telling passes to the strikers.

Bentic Letshaba scored a third goal after received a well-time pass from his captain, Toto Seemela.

When the referee blew the whistle for half time, the score was 3-0.

In the second half, both teams came out well and the Marikana FC striker succeeded in scoring his own pair of goals, allowing his team to close the gap with Italian Kickers.

Marikana FC pushed hard for an equaliser and had the local boys stymied with a strong defense. Italian Kickers eventually broke through the defence and scored the fourth goal through Shadrack Serite.

Within four minutes of Serite’s goal, Sipho Madala took advantage of the visitors’ lack of defence and scored his team’s fifth goal.

Italian Kickers kept up the pressure and Motlatso Ramaloko scored the sixth goal in the last minutes of the game.
