Sewage problem still plaguing family

Sewage problems in Tembisa

The Dawushe family in Ivory Park, extension 15, is appealing for help with a block sewer.

For nearly two years, Ms Joyce Dawushe and her family has been affected by the overflowing sewage.

“The problem recurs every few days because the pipes need to be replaced. Blockages are caused in the pipes because they cannot handle the capacity. We have complained many times about this problem, but nothing has happened,” said Ms Dawushe.

“We cook and eat with the constant smell of sewage. We are appealing to the City of Johannesburg to fix the problem,” she said.

“It is totally unacceptable to live in an unhygienic environment,” said Ms Dawushe.
