Famous author and psychologist to give talk at local library
Joanne Macgregor just released her first adult fiction book, "Dark Whispers"
POPULAR local author and counselling psychologist, Joanne Macgregor, will be dropping in at Modderfontein Library during the May coffee morning on May 30.
Macgregor, who recently released her new psychological thriller, Dark Whispers, about a psychologist who investigates a case of mental torture and sexual abuse of a mentally ill patient by a gynaecologist, will give a talk on her work and books.
When she is not writing books, Macgregor is a counselling psychologist with her own private practice in Johannesburg and deals mainly with adult victims of crime and trauma.
She has mainly been publishing for young adults and children and her repertoire for the under 18s includes Turtle Walk, Rock Steady and two books from the Jemina Jones collection. Dark Whispers is her first adult book.
Her books will be on sale after the talk and Macgregor will be available to personally sign copies.
Refreshments will be served from 9am and the talk will begin at 10am.
