She answers some questions:
1. How long have you known each other?
We have known each other since 2004.
2. Where did you meet?
We met at school and became friends. After school we went our separate ways and in 2011 I required a date for a friend’s birthday party. I remembered that Leon gave me his number in 2007 and took a chance. We met up for coffee and have been together ever since.
3. Was it love at first sight?
There was a definite attraction but like most relationships the love grew and grew quickly.
4. What did you dread most about your wedding day?
Honestly, there was nothing that scared me that much. It was a calm, relaxed wedding and I had the best support which made everything just that much easier. If I had to choose something, I guess I would have to say that there was the fear of him saying no.
5. Which part of your wedding day did you enjoy most?
Walking down the aisle and seeing the tears of joy and the shy smile on my husband’s face; made any doubts melt away and I felt amazing.
6. What do you love most about your husband?
I love the fact that even when I am having the worst day of my life he can make me laugh and he supports me in every single venture that I take.
7. What do you hate most about your husband?
There is nothing I hate. Everyone has small habits that take some getting used to. But not one single thing stands out as a pet peeve.
8. What do you love most about your mother-in-law?
I love that she accepted me as one of her own and that I can comfortably approach her and talk about basically anything. She made me feel like part of the family immediately.
9. What is your husband’s favourite food?
Anything that he can cover in sauce, especially pepper sauce.
10. What is your favourite food?
I love a home cooked meal – roast meat, vegetables and a whole heap of starch and sauce.
11. Which is your favourite restaurant?
Ala Turka. It is the restaurant my husband first asked me out and then obviously their food is great.
12. hat colour is your bedroom?
White and turquois.
13. What is your favourite night out?
Our favourite night out is actually a night in with some friends. Having a good braai, making sushi and just being social.
14. Does your husband help you with dinner?
I am very lucky. On the days I am out on the hockey field my husband does indeed help with dinner, and he is not half bad either.
15. Do you have pets?
No pets yet but my husband is dying to get a pointer.
16. What is your occupation?
I am a service coordinator at WAP South Africa.
17.What is your husband’s occupation?
Leon is an internal sales representative at Alfagomma.
