Radebe wins in style

The on-form Tembisa-based athlete, Paulos Radebe, won the inaugural Tembisa Trial Marathon held at Buhle Park in Tembisa on Sunday.

It came as no surprise when he accelerated in the last 10 minutes and and passed other runners.

Since 2011, Radebe has won all the marathons in Tembisa.

On June 12, he broke the Love Run 10 km record when he clocked 39.39 in Pretoria.

“I don’t know what to say because journalists ask me the same question each time I win a marathon They always ask why I win so easily. Let me answer this once and for all. I am preparing for the next Olympics,” he said.

“Sometimes people think I am boasting when I say it is not simple to win a race, but I train hard every day. They think I just have a natural talent and cannot be beaten. This is the results of hard work, nothing else,” he said.

The women’s section was won by Reshoketsi Lechaba.

All finishers received goodie bags as prizes.
