Students receive certificates

Big R Solutions issued certificates to Adult Education and Training (AET) students at Khulasizwe Primary School in Tembisa on Saturday last week.

According to the director of the company, Mr Saubrey Tshabalala, the function was part of their community project.

Students who attended this project did not pay. The cost of the course was covered by the company.

“The company spent R15 000 to apply for accreditation, R10 000 to buy learning material and the cost of paying facilitators every month. The cost will definitely go up for next year,” said Mr Tshabalala.

He said the company has been helping members of the community for a long time.

“During the 1990’s, the company was running a successful project called Student Masakhane. The project helped secondary schools initiate their own feeding schemes and helped them raise funds. The project raised more than R160 000 for schools,” he said.

The Gauteng North district director, Mr Ephraim Mpoku Tau, attended the event and presented the students with their certificates.

Mr Tau also delivered a motivational talk to the students.
