Telta to honour veterans
Veterans invited to year-end function.
The spokesperson of Tembisa Local Taxi Association (Telta), Mr Peter “The Black” Ntsoane, said the association will hold its year-end function on December 15, 2014.
The function will be held at Moriting Park.
“We are calling on all members of the association to attend the function without failure,” he said.
He is also calling on all the association’s veterans to attend the function.
“We will give groceries to our veterans on the day,” he added.
When asked why they honour the association’s veterans every year, he said; “They are the ones who paved the way for us to be where we are today. They started this association under difficult times, and as Telta, we feel that they deserve to be honoured.
“We have been honouring them for years and we hope that we will continue showering them with accolades as long as this association is alive and kicking,” he said. The function will start at 12 noon.
