Fun and games for people living with disabilities

All those who took part in the games received gold medals for participation

OVER 600 people gathered at Mehlareng stadium in Tembisa on November 7 to enjoy fun and games during the eighth instalment of the Spirit Games for people living with disabilities.

November 3 to December 3 is marked as National Disability Rights Awareness Month.

The event, hosted by the City of Ekurhuleni, presented a lightly competitive environment with the aim of promoting self-acceptance and holistic wellness among people living with disabilities.

All those who took part in the games received gold medals for participation.

Some will be selected to form a team that will represent Ekurhuleni at the provincial games at the Charl Baard Stadium in Brakpan on November 21.
