Arsanal wins tournament
The eight-team soccer tournament match between Arsanal FC and Tiberius United FC saw Arsanal FC emerging as the victors.
The game was played on Sunday at the Sekhukhune Sports Grounds in Winnie Mandela Zone 10.
The game started off slowly, but picked up during the second half.
Going into the half-time break, the scores were level at 0-0.
The first goal of the game came from Arsanal’s midfield, Oscar Mabunda.
He scored a second goal and sealed a 2-0 victory for his team.
Arsanal FC walked away with R5 000 for winning the tournament.
Arsanal FC’s coach, Prince Mashele, said he was excited to win the tournament.
“I am proud of the performance of my players. They played well throughout the tournament and showed team spirit,” he said.
