Ekurhuleni meets business

City Meets Business forum launched.

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) is closing the gap between the municipality and the business community through a newly-launched forum, City Meets Business.

Speaking during the council’s last sitting for the year, the executive mayor of the EMM, Clr Mondli Gungubele said,”As the EMM, we have taken a conscious decision to partner with business in our effort to take the region forward and claim our rightful place among the leading cities in the world.”

According to Clr Gungubele, the concept is designed to enable leadership of the EMM to engage with businesses across Ekurhuleni collectively, in an endeavour to improve communication channels between the parties.

He said the EMM will use the platform to get a better understanding of the challenges experienced by businesses across the EMM’s borders in order to mitigate future threats to investment and economic development.

Clr Gungubele said through City Meets Business, the municipality is gunning for active participation of businesses in development and investment opportunities.
