Genius FC thrashes La Liga 4-0
Genius FC toyed with La Liga FC before thrashing them 4-0 in a one-sided Chincha Sport Festival tournament played at the Xubeni Grounds on Saturday last week.
The team is blessed with current, professional players in the mould of Cavin Sibeko, Thabo Maleka, Mpho Rashete and Katlego Locke.
They players took the game to their opponents from the first whistle, but found La Liga’s defence well organised, thwarting all attempts at goal.
The combination between Sibeko and Locke was a marvel to watch in the middle of the park. It was no surprise when Locke drew first blood after receiving a defence-splitting pass from Sibeko.
It was 1-0 at the break.
Genius FC scored a second goal only five minutes into the second half. Locke received the ball on the left flank, dribbled past three defenders and crossed the ball to Thato Maleka, who scored with a back-heel. . Mpho Rashete and Locke added two more goals to make the final score 4-0.
