EkurhuleniP Metropolitan Municipality (EMM), has upgraded its online payment system e-Siyakhokha to alleviate technical failures reported by users during December.
The system has been enhanced with hi-tech innovations that can detect statement integration failure.
E-Siyakhokha enables users to predate payments on their preferred dates. Upon making payments users will receive notifications updating them of the status of the payments.
The systems automatically keep records of the accounts and payments, to enable users to track and monitor accounts.
“The municipality apologies for the inconvenience caused to customers who could not view their December statements. Ratepayers are encouraged to continue utilising the online platform,” said EMM spokesperson, Mr Themba Gadebe.
