Tembisa school gets R55 000 to upgrade library

Schauenburg Systems donated the money as part of its social responsibility programme

KHATLAMPING Primary School in Tembisa received a whopping R55 000 from Schauenburg Systems to help upgrade its library.

The cheque was handed over in December.

The Spartan-based manufacturing company donated the money as part of its social responsibility programme and had chosen to contribute to the education and training sector because they believe in the sustainable development of previously disadvantaged individuals and communities.

Dieter Kovar, executive managing director of Schauenburg Systems said: “Our company is committed to playing a responsible role in society through active corporate citizenship and social development and has a roadmap to drive transformation.”

The money donated will go towards improving the school’s library so learners can have a wider range of books to use for research for their school assignments and for leisure reading.
