Maintenance to be done in Birch Acres in 2015

Good news for Birch Acres residents as various upgrades in the suburb are announced

RESIDENTS of Birch Acres will be pleased to know that maintenance work around the suburb has been scheduled for the year.

According to DA PR councillor for ward 13, Allan Sauls, included in the maintenance plans for Birch Acres during 2015 is the fixing of potholes, storm water pipes as well as road markings.

“Questions to the first council meeting this year highlighted that road maintenance in Birch Acres is scheduled for most of 2015. Various maintenance interventions will take place in order to ensure roads are kept in acceptable conditions for the community,” Sauls confirmed.

Birch Acres ext 1-6 will have storm water pipe repairs during February and potholes will be fixed during April. Road markings and signs will be maintained during June.

“Birch Acres ext 23-44 has a highly focused programme from March to November with regards to storm water pipe maintenance. Tar patching (for potholes) takes place from February to December, as will be the case for road markings and signs.”
