The Tembisa Child Welfare Centre is appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of Moyahabo Mahlatse Mootane's relatives.

The Tembisa Child Welfare Centre is appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of Moyahabo Mahlatse Mootane’s relatives.

According to social worker Ms Mampono Chipu, the one-year-old child was removed from her mother’s care.

“It is believed the mother neglected her children. We intervened and removed the children from the mother’s care. We are appealing for any information about the whereabouts of relatives or family members,” she said.

Ms Chipu said it is thought the father, Abram Mathaba, resides in Duduza Section, Tembisa.

“Nancy Mootane had the other child, who was placed at the Tembisa Child Welfare Centre from 2010. It is believed the father of the child is John Mashia. We are appealing for any help about his whereabouts. He is from Winnie Mandela Zone 8,” she added.
