‘Smart’ thinking gets the job done

A Kempton Park resident was rather distressed when a heavy rainstorm broke out on January 31 while he was visiting the Dros.

His little Smart car, of which the roof cannot close, was parked outside with water pouring into it.

However, help was only a waiter away. Waiters quickly grabbed the top of an umbrella to cover the open vehicle.

An unknown Good Samaritan also came to the rescue when he used some items in his own vehicle to make a “makeshift” covering for the little car.

It was really heart warming to see there are still Kemptonians who will go out of their way for a stranger in distress.
