Video: Support offered for mothers-to-be

Mothers-to-be from Hospital View and the surrounding areas took advantage of a new initiative by the Lenmed Healthcare Group at the Zamokuhle Private Hospital on February 21.

The chairperson, Sr Maria Mogotlhoa, introduced the programme.

Hospital manager, Mrs Pule Ndlala, said the programme was aimed at providing support and guidance to women during pregnancy, birth and the first few months after birth.

As part of the programme, Dr CN Ndjapa, a gynaecologist, answered questions regarding safe delivery and women’s health.

The day was concluded with Sr Rosina Maroga demonstrating relaxation techniques.

“The information about C-section was informative and has allowed me to have confidence. This is my first pregnancy and I feel more confident,” said mother-to-be, Ms Gugulethu Mahlangu.

Ms Gugu Monisi said, “I learnt it is important to keep active and also to be mindful of all the different signs and symptoms during pregnancy”.
