Mayor praises successful Air Cargo 2015 event
More than 2 800 visitors descended on Ekurhuleni to attend the Air Cargo Africa 2015 event.

The executive mayor of Ekurhuleni, Clr Mondli Gungubele, said hosting the event confirmed the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality’s (EMM) position as Africa’s Aerotropolis.
Air Cargo Africa 2015 was hosted at Emperors Palace from February 25 to 27.
The objective was to create a platform for various role players in the world of air cargo to strengthen networking corridors within the African continent.
In its past two editions, held in Nairobi and Johannesburg, the show has seen major participation from world players and key players in the African airfreight community.
“Hosting Air Cargo Africa makes us part of a continental attempt to showcase Africa’s air cargo potential on a global scale,” said Clr Gungubele.
Clr Gungubele said the event will encourage trade among African countries.
