Security companies and CPFs unite against crime during patrol

32 Cars gathered to take part in the patrol

IN a quest to unite against crime, the different Norkem Park CPF sectors, together with Kempton Park security companies, embarked in a mass patrol on Friday evening.According to organiser of the event and sector 1 patrol commander, Johan Blignaut, the aim of the patrol was to show the community there was unity among the patrollers and security companies to fight crime.

The patrol started at 7pm and ended just after 8pm.

Thirty-two cars consisting of members of Birchleigh Neighbourhood Watch, Van Riebeeck Park Sector Crime Forum (SCF), Edleen SCF, AfriForum, MML Security, COPS Security and Alpha Security, drove through Edleen, Van Riebeeck Park and Birchleigh.
