Boy (6) killed in pedestrian accident on Monument Rd
His mother rushed him to Arwyp where he was declared dead

A six-year-old boy was killed on Monument Road when he was hit by a car on Wednesday evening.
Thabiso Makgato of the metro police confirmed the accident happened at the intersection of Monument Road and Palm Avenue at about 5.30pm.
“It is alleged that the boy ran onto road where he was knocked over by a Kia sedan. When metro police officers arrived at the scene to record the details, the mother had already rushed the child to Arwyp,” Makgato said.
“Our officer followed the mother to hospital where the boy was declared dead. A culpable homicide case has been opened at Kempton Park Police Station for further investigations.
According to posts on social media the accident happened in front of the little boy’s sister.
In another accident on Wednesday about half an hour later, a teenager died on Pomona Road.
