Water shortage in Tembisa

Certain parts of Tembisa are without water as the municipality is at work to restore power.

In its continuous efforts to provide a stable and reliable water supply to consumers, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) wishes to inform residents that essential maintenance work is currently being carried out at Moriting Section in Tembisa.

In order to make way for the work, a water supply interruption has been implemented affecting parts of Tembisa from 08:00 until 15:00 today.

Areas that are affected include:

  • Tlamatlama;
  • Makhulong;
  • Mashimong;
  • Maokeng;
  • Tsenelong;
  • Kopanong;
  • Temong;
  • Leboeng.

Water tankers have been made available to the following points:

  • Kopanong Child Welfare
  • Schools around Moriting Section.

Residents are urged to ensure that taps are properly closed in while the maintenance work is being carried out.

The EMM wishes to apologise for any inconvenience to be caused.
