Tembisa artists invited to take to the stage for Youth Month celebrations

Local art groups in Tembisa and the surrounding areas are invited to register for the June 16 Youth Month celebrations.

According to Mr Jerry Molelekwa, interested groups should take note that no late applications for the June 16 Youth Month celebrations will be considered. The theme for this year’s celebration is ‘Celebrating art through own’.

Application forms are available at the Moses Molelekwa Art Centre from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 4pm. Drama performances will take place on June 13, while the main event for June 16 will also include dance, music, poetry, comedy and live performances. The event will start at 8am and will run until 6pm.

The Association of Exploited Retirement and Medical Fund Members is inviting all former members of different companies or surplus funds to attend the meeting to be held at the Square One Sports Grounds next to the Mehlaring Stadium. The meeting will be held on May 24 and will start at 9am.

“There will be a march on May 28 to the Union Buildings concerning the pension fund surpluses, including some of the problems in Tembisa, such as housing and electricity,” said Ronnie Modise.
