The 2015 budget speech for Ekurhuleni, delivered by Clr Moses Makwakwa in Germiston today, will be broadcast live on Ekurhuleni TV (Ektv), a lifestyle television station based in Vosloorus.
It will be on OpenView HD channel 451 from 10am until noon. Moses will talk about the state in which the city is in and the budget allocated to develop the city.
Ektv is the platform’s young achiever, a trend setter among other channels that is true to being South African first.
When Ekurhuleni TV looks outside of South Africa, it is with the clear intention to understand the world in order to reconstruct it, giving it a South African identity.
Since Ektv launched, it has produced a number of broadcasts, namely Ekurhuleni State of the City address, Ekurhuleni Chris Hani Commemoration, Ekurhuleni budget speech and is yet to broadcast the Ekurhuleni youth summit.
With the success of the live broadcast of the 2014 budget speech, Ektv has been appointed to cover the 2015 speech again live. Other media houses will be part of the event to capture and share this important speech with the Ekurhuleni community.
