
THE Ekurhuleni Metro and Rand Water will conduct an Education and Awareness Roadshow from June 9 to 12 in selected malls around Ekurhuleni.
Metro spokesman Themba Gadebe said the reality of water scarcity was a reality that affected us all.

“The roadshow, to be held under the theme ‘Be the Hero, Save Water’, is intended to encourage communities to get involved in the fight against water loss and to reduce the number of sewer blockages,” he explained.
Gadebe added that we all needed to take a moment and do our bit to be water heroes by conserving water to ensure the future generation has enough water for tomorrow and beyond.
Various promotional items will be handed out during the roadshow and residents taking part in the competitions will be awarded educational and useful household items that will assist in the fight against water loss.
The roadshows will take place from 10am to 3pm daily and details are as follows:
Daveyton Mall-June 9, Santonga Mall – June 10, Kathorus Shopping Centre (opposite Chris Hani Crossing) – June 11 and Festival Mall – June 12.
