Ekurhuleni to launch first business council

It will spearhead the revitalisation of manufacturing in the region

AN Ekurhuleni business council (EBC) is to be established to spearhead the revitalisation of manufacturing in the region.

The EBC will be launched at the upcoming two-day manufacturing indaba conference and exhibition at Emperors Palace on June 29 and 30.

Industry leaders were invited to deliberate on how they, through the EBC, will collectively work towards the revitalisation of the manufacturing sector in Ekurhuleni.

The executive mayor of Ekurhuleni, Clr Mondli Gungubele, said the EBC will provide avenues for partnerships between the public and private sector to advance the municipality’s development and job creation goals.

The EBC will include representatives from both the municipality and business.
