FIVE suspects have been arrested for murder and attempted murder following shootouts at Sangweni Taxi Rank in Tembisa on Monday and Tuesday morning.
The five arrested men shot five victims, four were taken to hospital while one female, a National Prosecuting Authority employee, died on the scene from a fatal bullet wound to the chest.
Acting Norkem Park SAPS and Tembisa Cluster standby spokesman, W/O Mahlodi Langa, said the arrest was as a result of investigations by detectives from Tembisa South Police Station.
The suspects are aged between 26 and 41.
“The four suspects were arrested at a guest house in Hospital View and the other one was at a home in Modderfontein,” he explained.
The suspects all reside in Tembisa and Olifantsfontein.
