The Tembisa SAPS arrested three suspects on July 17 for possession of suspected stolen goods.
The arrests were made in Esselen Park, Tembisa.
Constable Patricia Mgijima, from the Tembisa SAPS, said police officers were patrolling the area and received information from a tracking company about an abandoned vehicle in Esselen Park.
Officers from the SAPS found the vehicle parked in the street.
“Preliminary investigations led the police to a shack in the area. The three suspects, aged between 18 and 35, were found sleeping inside the shack,” said Const Mgijima.
“Police officers searched the shack and found suspected stolen property in the men’s possession,” she said.
Laptops, a fridge, urns and bar chairs were discovered.
Const Mgijima said the men were arrested and detained at the Tembisa SAPS.
“It was later discovered that a vehicle found in their possession was stolen during a business burglary. The business burglary case was opened at the Sebenza Police Station,” said Const Mgijima.
