A taxi owner in Hospital View allegedly shot his wife before he turned the gun on himself.
The incident allegedly took place in front of their 14-year-old boy and 9-year-old girl last night.
According to the Tembisa SAPS spokesperson, Captain Manyadza Ralidzivha, the man had shot his wife who was certified dead on arrival at hospital.
“The man was found dead inside the house. Their two children were comforted by family members,” he said.
Captain Ralidzivha added the cause of the shooting is unknown.
“The firearm was also found at the scene. Police are investigating a case of murder and inquest docket was opened ,” he added.
It is believed the couple was fighting for a divorce.
