A domestic worker was attacked by two men at her place of employment on Bloekomdraai Street, Terenure, at about 10am on Thursday, and items worth R12 800 were stolen.
According to acting Norkem Park police spokesman W/O Mahlodi Langa, it is alleged the woman heard a car driving into the yard and thought it was her employer and went out.
“Two suspects pointed a firearm at the victim and forced her into a room in the house and told her not to move,” explained Langa.
Langa added that the robbers proceeded to take valuable items such as two plasma TVs, a laptop and bag and items valued at R12 800. The men fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.
“We are appealing to the community to be vigilant at all times and to keep doors locked,” warned Langa.
