Gauteng police officers have arrested two men for a robbery in Rabie Ridge on Friday last week.
The Rabie Ridge SAPS communications officer, Constable Jacob Nhlongo, said the SAPS is still looking for a third suspect.
It is alleged the suspects robbed a man in Lyttleton, Centurion.
“The victim was getting off the R21 highway. The suspects, driving a black Range Rover, stopped their vehicle in front of the victim’s car. Three suspects exited the Range Rover. They approached the victim and shots were fired,” said Const Nhlongo.
According to eyewitnesses at the scene, the suspects took something out of the victim’s car. It is believed an undisclosed amount of money was stolen.
According to the SAPS, the victim was shot and injured in the upper body.
“An undisclosed amount of money and three firearms were recovered at the scene of the arrests. The Range Rover was hijacked in Sandton,” said Const Nhlongo.
