TWO Bredell security guards were tied up and had R600 cash stolen from them on Saturday night.

The incident was posted on the BBP (Bonaero, Bredell and Pomona) Community Watch group on Facebook.

The post reported that armed men entered the property on First Avenue at about 8.30pm and tied people up, later fleeing the scene on foot towards High Road.

SAPS members, G Force RM and CMS members were allegedly at the scene.

According to Capt Jethro Mtshali, spokesperson for the Kempton Park SAPS, the security officers said they were on duty by the gate of the premises when they were approached by three armed men who spoke isiZulu.

“The armed men pointed their guns at the victims, tied them up using rope, stole their cellphones as well as R600 in cash from the victims,” Mtshali confirmed.

The security guards were unable to give a description of the perpetrators, but said they were communicating in isiZulu.
